August: The German American Festival is the largest festival in Toledo. There is something for every family member including live music, authentic German folk dancing, a pretzel eating contest and an extensive German beer selection. The German American Festival is located close to Maumee Bay State Park, so you can enjoy the lakefront and festival, all in one weekend.

August: Toledo Pride is one of the largest LGBT festivals in the Midwest, attracting close to 20,000 people each year. The mission of Toledo Pride is to raise awareness and promote unity for the Northwest Ohio LGBTQ community and its allies. Toledo Pride showcases entertainment, a 5K glow race, drag shows and unique vendors. In 2017, Toledo Pride partnered with Village on Adams, the largest brunch crawl in Northwest Ohio.
3) Opening Day
Mark your calendar for April 12th, Opening Day for the Toledo Mud Hens. This is a favorite celebration of downtown Toledo. Opening day is the start of baseball season and a reminder that summer is around the corner. Join the rooftop party in Hensville as the Toledo Mudhen’s take on the Pawtucket Red Soxs. Dress in layers for this one as Ohio weather is unpredictable.
